Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP), Dimapur has been receiving from time to time donations of wild animals and birds from various individuals, societies and villages.
In a press note, NZP director, Sentichuba Aier stated that inspite of the generosity, housing the animals and birds due to overgrowing population and feeding has become another challenge.
He stated that in the midst of all these issues Viyito village under Niuland subdivision under the leadership of teacher Atovi Yepthomi donated truck load of fruits such as jackfruits, star fruits and mangoes on July 9 and 12, 2016.
It stated that an example has been set by a humble village as a small step forward but would have a significant difference in the future. Director, NZP Sentichuba Aier, ACF Obed Bohovi Swu and the establishment of NZP highly appreciate and thank the Viyito villagers for coming forward in making such donations and wishes them almighty God’s blessing.
