With the torrential rains ravaging and creating havoc in the plains of Assam, some citizens of Mokokchung are coming together to show their solidarity towards their immediate neighbour, the Assamese people through a concert to raise funds for the people in need. The initiative started with a post on the ‘I Love Mokokchung’ group page on by a member. With such a great response the concert was formulated. Members of I Love Mokokchung group resolved to organize the concert in aid of the flood victims at Assam especially Jorhat.
The ILM members, who are mostly educated young professionals in Mokokchung town, decided to organize the reach out programme, keeping in mind that Assam and Nagaland share an age- old relationship. The project is being carried out on the theme – Know thy neighbor – and it is aimed at building bridges between communities and people.
