Six-day refresher’s training for Anganwadi workers was conducted by ICDS Project Kohima (U) from July 11 to 16, at Upper Chandmari Panchayat hall with CDPO Anyile Khamo and supervisors Avibu and Anino as the resource persons.
During the training programme, topic on role and job responsibilities of anganwadi workers, maintenance of 11 M.I.S registers and MPR, growth monitoring and plotting, pre-school education and SN, community participation, early childhood care and education IGMSY and Sabla, services of ICDS, practical classes on Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) and preparation of low cost materials were discussed.
Meanwhile, DPO Kohima Keviseyiezo Vizo also visited the training and advised both the batches of anganwadi workers to be sincere and dedicated in their duties as been in the capital their works reflects the other Districts as well.
Upper Upper Chandmari chairman Ahelie Theyo also visited the training and encouraged the anganwadi workers and also assured to give support and cooperation to the department.
The training concluded with an interactive session. Altogether 99 Anganwadi workers attended the training in two batches.
