Consultative meeting was held between the NSCN (IM) team led by convenor CFMC, K. Chawang and prominent leaders of Meluri area on August 23.
A press note by Pochury Hoho general secretary, Er. Vichutho Nyusou stated that kilonser V. Makritsü and speaker tatar hoho, Zarshie Nyuthe as the main speakers, highlighted the framework agreement of August 3, 2015 and the present on-going talks with the GoI.
It stated that members of the house declared to re-affirm the mandate and declaration of various Naga consultative meets, particularly the 4th consultative meeting of January 20 to 21, 2005 at Hebron and August 25, 2015 at Niathu Resort, Dimapur. It also stated that Naga political settlement was the only means to safeguard the future of the Nagas and the house made an appeal to all concern stake holders to give effort for safe landing of solution. The house also re-affirmed and strongly appealed to all NPGs to maintain maximum restraint of erupting conflict and misunderstandings in order to maintain peace and tranquility in Pochury area and Naga areas as a whole.
Hundreds attended the meet consisting of frontal organisations, range presidents, religious leaders, , village council chairmans, vdb secretaries, head gb’s, women leaders, village youth presidents, pastors and many prominent leaders under Pochury area.
