Department of Power has informed that due to burning of a 500 KVA 11/0.4 KV inside New Market, Dimapur on August 30, the power supply to New Market and parts of NL Road has been affected.
In a press statement, Electrical Sub-division No.1, Dimapur SDO, Er. Namheu Khate, said the location of the said sub-station was not viable as there was no vehicle approach road for transportation and maintenance work.
In the event of relocating and re-constructing of a new sub-station, SDO said the restoration of power would take some days. The department has requested the consumers to bear the inconveniences.
