Langpangkong range under Mokokchung district has resolved to conduct “clean elections” on Saturday during “clean election campaign sensitization cum consultative meeting” held at Langpangkong Government High School, Chuchuyimlang town.
The meeting organised by Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) Clean Election Campaign Committee was attended by village council members, church leaders, Langpangkong Watsu Telen (women), Langpangkong students and youths, GBs and DBs under Langpangkong range.
In a press note, LKM president Imnakika Jamir informed that September 3 resolution was the in connection to the 13-point resolutions adopted by LKM to conduct ‘clean election campaign’ during its general conference which was held at Tuli town on January 2016.
September 3 meeting was conducted by Subo Longkumer while LKM president Imnakika Jamir welcomed the participants. Convener of LKM-CECC, Bendang Yaden highlighted the aims and objectives of the LKM-CECC, while director horticulture, Watienla Jamir exhorted the gathering. LKM-CECC member, K Temjen Jamir explained in detail about the resolution presented by the LKM-CECC before it was adopted by the house.
All the participants also signed a pledge card promising to uphold the clean election campaign.
