
All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Dimapur unit would be celebrating 23rd District Level Hindi Diwas on September 14, 11 a.m. at HSSPK Burma Camp, Dimapur with SDEO Dimapur T. Kiyelu Yepthomi as chief guest.
In a press note, ANHTU informed there would be a Hindi essay writing competition on “Paryavarna” (Environment) 200 words and debate competition on the topic “Mobile Phone ke Fayde aur Nuksan (Advantages and Disadvantages of Mobile Phones) on September 12, 11 a.m. at Hindi College HSSPK Burma Camp. Eligibility for said competition would be P.U. or equivalent.
In this regard, the union has requested the principals of Hindi colleges and higher secondary schools to send four students along with a teacher.

LONGLENG: ANHTU Longleng unit would be organising the 1st inter-school Hindi literary competition for schools of Longleng Town on September 10 at EBRC Longleng with SDEO Longleng, Temsula Jamir, as chief guest.
According to ANHTU Longleng, the literary events would be dictation, reading and poetry recitation in Hindi for students of class III and VIII. Winners would receive cash award and certificates at the District Level Hindi Diwas ceremony on September 14 which would be held at EBRC Hall, Longleng. All the Hindi teachers of the district have been informed to attend the function.
ANHTU appeals for release of pending salary
All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union has appealed for the release of salary of 1379 Hindi Teachers appointed by Department of School Education under Central Sponsor Scheme government of India and who have not received their salary for slat seven months.
A press note by ANHTU general secretary, Asyarthotngam stated that due to non payment of salary, the teachers were suffering even to pay tuition fee, ration, house rent etc.
It also stated that some DDO have not paid the DA and arrear at the rate of 6% to the teachers since last year 2015.
In this regard, the union has asked the state government to release the salary of the 1379 Hindi teachers immediately to protect them from starving.
