Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) organized free medical camps on September 11, 18 and 25, at three different villages namely Zhadima, Razaphe and Kigwema respectively.
The medical camp was conducted as part of the ACYA’s annual plan for the Year 2016-17 under the theme “Year of Mercy” and with the motive to reach the aged, children and needy people having constraints in accessing essential medical treatments.
Altogether, 900 patients, regardless of race and creed were enrolled for free health check-up.
Further, blood grouping tests and various medical services were delivered to the patients. Free medicines were distributed to all the patients.
The implementation of the camp was an outcome of the voluntary and joint efforts of Catholic doctors, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, well wishers, hosting parishes, ACYA youths and all those who have contributed in different capacities.
ACYA further envisages in organizing such camp for the welfare of the under-privileged sections even in the coming years.
