
Parliamentary secretary for Planning & Co-ordination, Evaluation, Monitoring and Taxes, Neiba Kronu has invited various companies/share holders to come, explore and invest in the state
Speaking at the business summit during his tour to the US and Canada from October 3-7, as part of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) delegation, According to an official statement issued by OSD planning T. Thailu, Kronu highlighted the avenues in what way Nagaland could provide to investors, vis-à-vis the state’s rich natural and minerals resources and its untapped area.
He also laid emphasis on the state government’s plan to set the Nagaland Invest Board (NIB) to attract investors and to keep business to business (B2B), people to people contact through public, private partnership (PPP) mode and joint ventures.
On the other hand, Kronu also said Nagaland was open to funding agencies in order to invest infrastructure development like in Roads & Highways, Railways, Air connectivity, Power, Agriculture, Inland waterways etc.
Later, Kronu also visited Israel to study and understand the Planning and Farming system.
The FICCI delegation was welcomed by Akhil Tyagi, area director– South Asia, Ontario, Ministry of International Trade, while Manab Majumdar, assistant secretary general, FICCI introduced the delegates to the dignitaries present at the summit. According to FICCI, the focus of the visit was to connect with various organizations and financial institutions based in USA and Canada, who were ready to work with India and invest in the infrastructure development of the country.
