Drawing attention to the horrible road condition from Namsa to Mon, the lifeline of the Konyak tribe of Nagaland, the Bharatiya Adarsh Samchar (BAS) has urged that the issue be taken up as the earliest.
In a letter to governor, R&B minister and development commissioner, the BAS president M. Hejei Walem and vice president, L. Panglei Nyemlem stated that the road has not been attended to since its condition was last publicized on October 24, 2015 Nagaland Post.
BAS stated that the general public has urged the 9 MLAs to come out and execute the work at the earliest. It stated that funds come from central government for development of backward area but “misused by 9 MLAs”.
In this regard, BAS stated that the general public wants the fund provided by central to develop the road condition. In the eventuality of not taking steps to bring out the work at the earliest, it stated that general public would hold the 9 MLAs accountable.
