Zeliang People’s Organisation, Nagaland (ZPO-N) Tuesday urged upon state government to expedite its investigation to verify the issuance of ST certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate and backward tribe certificate to two persons from Manipur in the name of Zeliang tribe. ZPO (N) media cell in a press statement said that delay in the investigation process by the competent authority will prolong in finalization on the issue of appointment letters to those deserving indigenous Naga candidates.
It may be mentioned that ZPO (N) had in its complaint to Commissioner, Nagaland on July 26, 2016 demanded that the NPSC to withhold the candidacy of the two– K. Rangsobe, s/o Peining and Lunghilang Pamai s/o Ramlan from Manipur, who appeared NPSC Exam 2016 (Roll No. 15424 and 15663) in the name of Zeliang tribe. In response, the Commissioner, Nagaland in its order dated August 10, 2016 to the Home Commissioner, recommended for verification after obtaining documents of the two persons from the NPSC.
Therefore, ZPO (N) wanted NPSC to segregate the deserving and undeserving cases so that normal procedure of filling the antecedent form of selected candidates that have no complaint can be settled separately. ZPO (N) further, cautioned that any blunder committed by those undeserving candidates at the expense of the indigenous Naga job aspirants would be “unceremoniously dismissed” as the process of verification will reveal the truth.
