Shinili Chishi, a student of Tetso College, Dimapur was crowned Miss Dimapur during a gala event held at hotel Saramati, Dimapur, Saturday, organized by Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN) in association with Kats Collection and powered by Live Sounds.
During the event, Elizabeth Chophi from Unity College and Lanusangla M Longchar from Little Star Higher Secondary School bagged the first and second runners-up respectively.
Seven young girls from in and around Dimapur city were shortlisted for the grand finale.
The organizers had earlier conducted a series of screening on the seven finalists including one-on-one interaction by showbiz experts and the official judges, photo-shoot, grooming session and fitness tests.
A wide range of personalities from various fields including Sentinaro, Hewasa Lorin, Moala Yaden, Bubu Patrick and Zhokhoi Chuzo were the panel of judges.
The event was attended by a host of sponsors, media, well wishers and friends and family of the participants.
The winner will represent the district in the upcoming Miss Nagaland beauty pageant which is likely to be held in the month of December.
