BJP unit has extended greetings to the people of Nagaland, participants, performers, and visitors on the occasion of Hornbill Festival. In a press release, state BJP secretary, K Thong, said the objective of Hornbill was to combine, revive and protect the rich distinct cultures of all the Naga tribes and encourage inter-tribal interaction and promote cultural heritage of Nagaland. State BJP said Nagas should be proud of and continue to have a rich tradition of maintaining their unique heritage and customs. “Despite modernity entering into their lives, the Nagas have been able to preserve their customs and legacy and keep lighting their identity,” Thong said.
