Advent Christmas celebrated at Raj Bhavan and LRD

Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya speaking on the occasion of pre-Christmas celebration held at durbar hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima on December 15 stated that such kind of gathering as one family was a great event. He also stated that India being a democratic country, people belonged to different religions. He said that attending church, going to the temple or going to the mosque was important but if one did not follow the principles of religion, then it had no meaning and would not be religion at all. He also said being a religious person depended on oneself. Governor emphasized on good deeds of loving, sharing, giving, and lending a helping hand to the needy people as we celebrate Christmas. He wished the congregation Merry Christmas and advance Happy New Year.
LRD: Department of Land Resource celebrated advent Christmas on December 15 at its directorate with Asangla Phom, wife of parliamentary secretary land resource P.S Nanlang as the speaker.
Asangla in her message said the central meaning of Christmas means “Joy to the world” and said no human birth could complete the joy except through the birth of Jesus Christ.
She said that the peace God had gifted should be shared amongst family members, relatives and to the people around us.
Asangla also advocated that Christmas was time for everyone to renew relationship with God.
Secretary LRD, Y. Kikheto Sema spoke on forgiveness and to forget the wrongs as peace prevailed only through forgiveness and forgetting misdeeds of others. 
He said there was no medicine for mental ailment caused due to lack of will to forgive others.  Saying this he encouraged the department officials to be humble and forgiving.
On the occasion, the fourth grade employees of the department were presented with blankets.
Director LRD, Hoto Yeptho invoked God’s blessings while Topeni and Imli enthralled with Christmas songs. (Correspondent.)
