Condolence service of president NPFN/NNC (N/A), late Temjenyanger Aier was held at Aoyimsen panchayat ground on December 23, wherein public paid homage to the departed patriot and respected father of Naga nation.
A press note by NPGN/NNC (N/A) MIP kilonser, N. Mar Ao stated that funeral programme of the departed leader was held in two parts. During the first part of the programme, service was led by pastor of Aoyimsen Baptist Church where the relatives and well wishers spoke on behalf of different societies.
Chairman of Aoyimsen village council, Dr.Senti had said that late Temjenyanger Aier was a God fearing man with a vision, peace maker and true patriot, who had sacrificed his entire life for the cause of Nagas and for the community of Aoyimsen village in particular.
He also said that during difficult situation late Temjenyanger Aier had courageously led the people as the founding member of Aoyimsen village.
Late Temjenyanger’s daughter described her late father as a good shepherd, loving father and a courageous person, a man with the personality of “slow to anger and quick to reconcile”.
During the second session, moderated by NPGN/NNC (N/A) MIP kilonser, N. Mar Ao had extended heartfelt gratitude to all the well wishers specially leaders from different NNPGs. Leaders who spoke included ato kilonser NPGN/NNC (N/A), Hozheto Z.Chophi, who described late Temjenyanger Aier as the most exceptional Naga patriot whose guiding principle of forgiveness and non violence had led to unify the Naga national workers to a great extent. Advisor to collective leadership of GPRN/NSCN, Azheto Chophi described late Temjenyanger Aier as the true patriot and an honest Naga national leader whose contribution had made tremendous change in unifying the NNPGs. He also encouraged the Nagas to follow the legacy of forgiveness and unity which late Temjenyanger Aier had left behind. General secretary GDRN/NNC (N/A), Hetoi Chophi recalled his short association with late Temjenyanger Aier and acknowledged his commitment towards Naga national sovereignty and who had stood firm on nothing less than sovereignty of Nagas.
Yapang Ao of NNC (Parent body) said that with the demise of late Temjenyanger Aier the Nagas had lost the dictionary and one of the visionary fathers who had great source of wisdom and knowledge of Naga political history.
The programme was culminated with mass silent prayer followed by benediction prayer by kilo kilonser, Vizheto NPGN/NNC (N/A).
Meanwhile the NPGN/NNC (N/A) had also declared 7-day mourning as a sign of sorrow and honour to the departed soul.
NPGN/NNC (N/A) through its MIP had extended heartfelt gratitude to one and all who have supported in prayer, financially and physical presence.
