Unity Village Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu (UVSKK) celebrated its silver anniversary on December 27-28 at Unity village Sümi Baptist Akukuhou (UVSBA) with its first president, Hokugha K. Achumi as guest of honour.
At the programme, Hokugha K. Achumi, pointed out the success of the union and underscored the importance on how to maintain unity among different tribes in the village. He also stressed on the hardship his team had, and encouraged the team of the future to keep the spirit of wellness and respect the motto “Lead and Shine” which they had started.
First general secretary and second president, Y. Lhotoi Awomi was the evening session speaker on the anniversary theme, “Voitta (Transcend)”.
Earlier, greetings was brought by HASSU president Kughato Achumi, vote of thanks by UVSKK president Hitoka G. Swu and benediction by associate pastor women UVSBA Kiyeshi Bohoto.
Election of the new team of office bearers for the tenure 2016-2018 was held on the second day and would be led by Akuto I. Swu as president and Toka H. Chophi as gen secretary.
UVSBA associate pastor Tokato K. Yeptho encouraged the new team with a word of God based on 1 Timothy 4:12 and blessed them with a prayer.
