Lotha Hoho has informed all presiding officers ; first, second and third polling officers and Grade IV staff who are assigned to perform election duty for ULB elections in February 2017 under Wokha district that performance of election duty or application of Election Duty Certificate(EDC) and Postal Ballot(PB) have been banned in Wokha district by the hoho. According to Lotha Hoho chairman Mhao Humtsoe and general secretary Er.Mhondamo O vung, the hoho had passed a resolution on January 20 to ban ULB election in the district.
Further, anyone applying for either EDC or PB would be held responsible for any eventuality related with ULB election of February 2017.The signatories also made know to everybody, that Lotha Hoho, Oking Wokha would be answerable to the authorities for preventing officers from performing election duty.
Meanwhile, JCC members have appealed to all citizens of Dimapur to attend the mass public rally to be held on January 23 at State Stadium from 11 a.m.
