Khiamniungan Union Chumukedima (KUC) has expressed “excruciating distress” and vehemently condemned the brutality and high handedness of security personnel on Janaury 31 resulting in the alleged death of late Khriesavizo Metha and late Bendangnungsang and injuring several others. In a condemnation note, KUC president P. Pongom and assistant general secretary Samson have called upon every single person to condemn the cowardly and barbaric act of killing innocent Nagas. The union has also conveyed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and also prayed for the departed souls to rest in eternal peace. KUC has also wished for speedy recovery of the injured persons.Meanwhile, KUC has prayed and hoped for restraint and peace so that normalcy could return in the Nagaland at the earliest.
