NSCN (I-M) has asked all business establishment/shops under UT jurisdiction, Dimapur to remain closed on Sunday with immediate effect. However, pharmacies, hotel with food and lodging, bakery, vegetables and fruit vendors in DMC allotted market/petrol pumps have been exempted, NSCN (I-M) secretary UT Akato Swu stated in a press note and warned of stern action against defaulters.
Further, NSCN (I-M) said that it has been receiving several complaints on tampering of MRP and sale of expiry items in the market and illegal practice of weight and measures. Therefore, “for the welfare of the general public”, NSCN (I-M) said it would be conducting occasional checking and has sought co-operation from all.
