
Department of Power, Nagaland has expressed regret for its inability to deliver electricity bills on time for the past few months.
In a press note chief engineer (D&R) Er. G. Chishi, stated that situation have arisen due to the adoption of a new billing system (SAP) and smooth transitions from the old system to the new system, as envisaged, have not been possible, despite of the best efforts of all concerned which had affected the delivery of bills.
Stating that the recent ban on Government offices had further prevented rectification in the system, he assured that the process to enable timely bill delivery is underway expeditiously.
Chishi further stated that consumers would receive electricity charges for a few months in a single bill therefore requested the consumers to bear with the inconvenience.
