The Yorubami Welfare Organization (YWO), Kohima has expressed deep anguish and resentment at the assault and humiliation meted out to its bonafide member, Pothita Phesao, son of late Vamuzo at Fellowship Colony Dimapur.
A condemnation note by YWO chairman, Lhuvesayi Lohe and secretary, Sekhoyi Nyekha stated that Pothita was in his own plot of land to carry out necessary developmental works located behind VIkiye centre building.
YWO has demanded that the law enforcement agencies take immediate action against the miscreants involved in the incident and recover the Patta (land deed) snatched from the rightful owner as a follow-up action of the FIR submitted to West Police Station, Dimapur on March 3.
YWO further stated that the devious behaviour was highly condemnable and unbecoming of a civilized society would only create suspicion and hatred against one another.
