Kohima Law College (KLC) conducted an awareness campaign on the conduct of fair election on March 29 with professor-in-charge BCI Practical Training Papers, Kezhokhoto Savi as resource person.
While addressing the law students as potential ambassador to fair election campaign, Savi encouraged them that there must be a break-through in the forth coming state general assembly election which was to be held in early 2018.
He said that clean election meant “one man one vote” and that proxy voting, booth capturing, dictate voters, undue influence, buying-selling votes, muscle power, pleasing voters by supplying cash or kind, liquor, guns, money power, anti-social muscle power must be done away with.
He said that clean election would surely reform Naga society and Nagaland could be a better state to live in.
