Govt declares April 15 holiday

State government has declared April 15, 2017 as general holiday for all the government offices in Nagaland on account of the day being “Easter Saturday”. According to an official bulletin, the declaration was in pursuance of the explanation to section-3 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, l881 (Act. XXVI). On April 12, the government also decided not to take part in any activity related to promotion of Digital Payment on April 14, 2017).
April 14 being a public holiday to observe Good Friday, the government would not take part in any activity, chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar informed.
