Army recruitment rally would be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima (Nagaland) from May 18 to 23 for enrolment of male candidates into the Indian Army, primarily for the youth of Nagaland only.
According to PRO Defence, Col. C. Konwer, vacancies for Nagaland candidates are soldier general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk/store keeper technical/inventory management, soldier nursing assistant and tradesmen categories.
The screening of the candidates would be done as per admit card date depending on the total number of on line application in each category at joinindianarmy.nic.in. The candidates have been advised to report at rally site at 5 a.m. strictly.
It has been clarified that a candidate can register and apply only once during the rally and if an individual was found to have applied twice, one of his application would be cancelled.
The PRO has informed that the online application would open from March 19 to May 17. On May 13, the admit card would be generated by ARO, Rangapahar and candidates can print their admit card forwarded to them on their registered e-mail ID or they can log in with their id with joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on admit card on left side and provide the roll number issued earlier to generate and download /screen print the admit card.
Candidates would get their admit cards on May 18 for all male candidates of Peren and Phek districts; May 19 candidates from Kiphire, Zunheboto and Longleng districts; May 20 candidates from Wokha & Mokokchung; May 21 candidates from Tuensang and Mon districts; May 22 candidates from Dimapur and Kohima districts. NCC cadets, sons of servicemen/ex-servicemen/ war widows would also appear as per the Admit Card dates.
PRO informed that dates are tentative and that districts wise screening test dates would be decided on May 13 by ARO Rangapahar on the basis of total number of applicants who have applied online.
Candidates have been advised to check the rally poster for age categories, certificates required and other details displayed at each DC offices, notice board of PRO etc.
