It’s not only the city but whole country is now talking about much awaited event of the year- “ Nagaland Fashion week – 2017 ” which is going to be held in August/September in New Delhi , giving it a national and international appeal of audience with precious support of Nagaland Government. The event has reportedly gained the support of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
A letter of support has been received by the team of Delhi Fashion Club from the youth icon of North East , Kiren Rijiju , Minister of State for Home Affairs.
“Our Government is committed to empower women and provide them equal opportunities in every sphere. Actually, it is only through women’s empowerment that an empowered India can be built. The development of North East Region Is another top priority area of our government and all efforts are being made for comprehensive development of the Region. Therefore, any organisation which supplements the efforts of our government needs to be complimented,” Rijiju stated in his letter of support.
“I am Happy to know Delhi Fashion Club is organizing “Nagaland Fashion Week” at Indira Gandhi national centre for arts , New Delhi in Aug/Sept 2017 to promote artisans from North-east and generate Self employment among them. I send my best wishes for the success of the event,” the letter read.
Delhi Fashion club, apart from focusing on women empowerment, will be promoting north east culture, textile and tourism internationally through a sequence of events.
Nagaland Fashion week 2017 by Delhi Fashion club, which have now got both state as well central government support is ready to start the process of designers and models selection from next week.
Meanwhile, the club has invited associations who wish to support and collaborate, saying Delhi fashion club is open for it and ready to give execution authority if they are ready to produce an International show.
