
Government High School (GHS) Yoruba organised felicitation programme for the distinction holders of HSLC 2017 cum inauguration of drinking water and hand washing facility constructed under DMA (SSA0 2015-16) on June 6.
Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Chozuba, Saprayi Lohe as the chief guest while Rev T.Phesa dedicated the drinking water and hand washing facility. Speaking on the occasion Saprayi stressed on the importance of maintaining a healthy competition among the students. He also reminded the students that success was not a chance but was a choice with great determination and hard work. While delivering short speech, Yorubami students union, president, Kuvoto Khusoh congratulated the meritorious students and further exhorted the upcoming students to work hard and bring laurels to the school as well as to the village. Short speeches were also given by parents of the distinction holders. Cash awards and certificates were given to the distinction holders and subject teachers were also presented with awards and certificates. The programme was chaired by graduate teacher, Mutsoveyi, while god’s blessing was invoked by evangelist NCRC Yoruba, Punuyi Khusoh. Keynote address was delivered by graduate teacher, Pulesayi Lohe, special number was presented by class-10 students. Later, vote of thanks was proposed by assistant headmistress GHS Yoruba, Rose Ngullie and benediction was pronounced by head teacher, Khrukutalu Lohe.
