NSCN (I-M) through its MIP has denied its involvement in stalling the four-lane road project work, and instead pointed out that the “so called misunderstanding related to the halting of works was purely within the NCSU.”
MIP said, when the work was halted on June 16, its officials had enquire from the engineers for the reason behind it. MIP said the engineers informed the officials that the work was suspended since it had rained heavily the previous day. However, MIP said social medias and section of the print media had gone to the fullest “directly pointing fingers at the NSCN blaming for halting works.” (Full text on p-6)
