District level FP review-cum-orientation on WPD & PSF

Chief Medical Office (CMO), Peren district under the chairmanship of the CMO, Dr. Denis Hangsing, held its District Level Family Planning (FP) Review meeting-cum-orientation on observance of World Population day (WPD) and Population Stabilization Fortnight (PSF) on July 7, at CMO conference hall, Peren. 
Addressing the gathering, CMO highlighted about the PSF starting from July 11 to 24. 
He requested the health workers to submit the reports on time which had to be done on a daily basis for the coming PSF. He further requested the health workers to motivate and sensitize the grass root level.
DPO UIP/RCH Dr. Khrielasanuo, briefed the gathering about the guidelines to be followed during the fortnight. She urged the medical officers and health workers to be in their place of posting to provide quality service delivery. She also briefed all the members present about the WPD & PSF.
All members were asked to carry intensive awareness about family planning and health units to conduct counseling during the OPD hours, provide free FP service delivery such as distribution of condoms, OCP, E-pill, IUCD insertion and lab ligation. Inter personal communication to be conducted by the ASHA’s in all the villages and focus group discussion to be held in all the four blocks. 
She also informed that Lap ligation would be done on July 17, 18, 24 and 25, at CHC Jalukie and on July 19, at district hospital, Peren. 
DPM Elizabeth reminded all health units about the submission of PAN card photo copy at the earliest.  
She also informed that the referral transport amount for JSSK Rs 250 has been enhanced to Rs. 500 since October 2016. She requested them to submit the statement of expenditure accordingly. She also informed that the funds for VHND have been released in all the four blocks. 
Deputy CMO, Dr. Tiala, highlighted on the areas that needed to be verified and ensured to be maintained in the reports. 
IEC materials, condoms and contraceptives pills, pregnancy test kit were distributed to the health units. 
The meeting was attended by district program officers, medical officers, ANMs, GNMs, pharmacists, vaccinators, CMOs establishment staff, district program management unit and block program management unit staff’s.
