Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS, has granted permission to the Naga people’s Front (NPF) central youth wing, for holding a peaceful rally on July 14, 2017 at 10am from NPF central office Kohima and to submit a memorandum at Raj Bhavan.
The DC in the permit has set up terms and conditions for organising the rally. According to the order, the permit was only for a specified date and time and where normal traffic should not be disturbed.
The organisers were to ensure that no law and order problems or any untoward incidents occur owing to the rally.
The DC has also stipulated that submission of memorandum to the Governor at Raj Bhavan be done only after obtaining necessary instructions from Raj Bhavan officials.
The DC also cautioned that if any of the candidates for the ensuing bye-election for 10 Northern Angami I A/C took part, the expenditure incurred for it would be matched to candidate’s election expenditure.
