Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has sought clear clarification from the Youth Resources & Sports (YR&S) department and the state government with regard to the departmental examination for the post of storekeeper and LDA-cum-computer assistant under YR&S department.
In a representation addressed to director YR&S, ENSF vice-president, Hamnyei Angh, and asst. general secretary, Kumcho Yimchunger, urged the department not to declare the result until clarification was justified. Alleging that the department was not adhering to 25% job reservation policy of the state government for the eastern Nagas viz Chang, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Khiamniungan and Yimchunger, the federation demanded that the department implement 25% job reservation or cancel the result and re-advertise the same “if there is any anomalies or manipulation in filling up the posts.”
ENSF cautioned that failure to get positive response from the department would compel the federation to take its own course of action. The federation also stated that it would under any circumstances fight for justice that had been denied.
