All Nagaland Government College Teachers’ Association (ANGCTA) had boycotted teacher’s day celebration by abstaining from participation in any teacher’s day programmes in the state. A press note by president ANGCTA, Dr. Imtiwati Jamir and general secretary, Dr. Phyobenthung stated that, teachers from all the government colleges put on black badges throughout the day. It further stated that in Nagaland, ANGCTA as an affiliate of the AIFUCTO decided to boycott the celebration in solidarity with the call of AIFUCTO and FEDCUTA however, normal classes were not disrupted.
