NU Kohima Campus Meriema celebrated its 24th Foundation Day on September 6 in the university premises. The programme was presided by Rendishilu, transport officer (NU) and foundation flag was unfurled by pro-vice chancellor prof. R.C Gupta. Honorary degrees were awarded to staff who had made achievements in their field of work. Prof Gupta stated that success was the result of a firm foundation and compared a teacher to candle which burns to give light to students. Teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students attended the programme.
