
MGM College and Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bangalore (ENSUB) in separate occasions organised its fresher’s social and 13th annual fresher’s meet 2017 respectively on September 16.
Delivering a welcome speech, MGM College principal, Rev. Fr. Shibu Varghese, emphasised on how opportunities led one to become a good leader. He spoke about the beauty of college life and said that every student should enjoy his/her college life in a positive way.
Rev. Fr. Shibu also urged students to decorate their mind and have faith in God and inspired the students to visualize from the aesthetic aspect and learn from their mistakes.
The programme started with an invocation prayer by Imlijungla, Anglem Konyak spoke on behalf of freshers while Karan Dholi and Niana Sharma were crowned Mr & Miss Fresher and Pithunglo delivered the vote of thanks.
ENSUB: Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bangalore organised its 13th annual fresher’s meet 2017 under the theme, “garnering the strength of diversity” on September 16 at Ascension Church campus hall Bangalore.
A press note by ENSUB stated that chief guest of the function, managing director CTS Group Nagaland, Tronglichem Sangtam, encouraged the students that their journey in the real world has started.
He advised them to decide carefully so as to shape their special years successfully rather than regret later.
He also emphasized on how great people walked across the earth and changed the course of history and encouraged all the students to have a big dream.
NCFB pastor, Rev. Zhabu Yimsung said a special prayer for all the fresher’s followed by an exhortation by Tongchingsangla Chang from UTC. Vote of thanks was delivered by ENSUB vice president, Pongkhyuse Sangtam and benediction was said by Pongchai Konyak.
Hopong Naga enthralled the crowd by his presence while various artistes from Bangalore also participated and show cased their skills and talents. 150 members attended the event celebration. The programme was chaired by Naomi Yimchunger and welcome address was delivered ENSUB president, Chinglang Konyak.
