A poster competition on “clean election” was conducted at Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung on September 16 under the theme “clean election” where the BA fifth semesters were declared as the winner.
Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo (MTBA) Pastor, Rev. Ponen Longchar and assistant election officer, Alila Chang were special guests at the poster competition.
In the campaign, Rev. Ponen Longchar spoke on the importance of clean election from a Biblical perspective while Alila Chang briefed the students on the concept of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
A discussion hour was also held where the students raised various questions based on the concept of clean election.
The prize money was sponsored by the election commission office, Mokokchung. College ambassador for clean election campaign, Lanusangla chaired the programme and vote of thanks delivered by Alemsanen.
