Bharatiya Janata party 33 Suruhuto held an emergency meeting of executive members on October 24 at Suruhuto town to discuss various party issues.
A press note by BJP A/C 33 Suruhuto president stated that meeting took stock of 2018 assembly election and planned out strategies. It also reviewed progress of booth level works in all polling station and encouraged members to enrol more people into party primary membership.
The meeting also voiced out the “15 years of NPF government for overall failure in the developmental activities in the state” and that “it is high time that Nagas should realize and stand together to fight for justice and our democratic rights.”
During the meeting, mandal president Tovishe Chophi was removed for anti party activities and was replaced by Tokhevi Ayemi as new president. Zunheboto district BJP president, Shikuto Sema who was also present encouraged the party workers to work hard for the party. The executive meeting also extended full support to the leadership of state president, Visasolie Lhoungu.
