Several paddy fields were reportedly destroyed by strong hailstorm on November 3 at Leshemi village, Pfutsero. In a press release, Kalos Society Pfutsero (KSP) director stated that the society visited the village and interacted with village leaders during which VCC, Wezhiepe Sara informed that the damage was so severe and one of the major damages by natural calamity in village history. The release the worst affected areas were at Lezhe, Kaphe and Tekhwe and that it has affected more than 100 households. The cost of damage was estimated to be in terms of several lakh. While sharing solidarity with the cultivators, KSP has appealed concerned authority to look into the matter and make necessary arrangements.
