Gov urges CM to expedite setting up of Lokayukta

Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya on Tuesday appealed to the chief minister, T.R. Zeliang to expedite setting up of Lokayukta in Nagaland.
In a letter to the Zeliang, Acharya further expressed concern over the delay in payment for land acquisition for railway projects in Dimapur. Achraya also sought updates from the CM regarding actions taken on the issue of proxy teachers and corruption charges against government employees.
He also drew CM’s attention on the condition of roads, saying “repair/maintenance/improvement of roads should be taken up on priority and the works to be completed without delay”.
Meanwhile, Acharya expressed pleasure at the news of the President’s visit to inaugurate the Hornbill Festival 2017.
