The 6 Naga Chef Season 5 contestants faced Round 5- Pressure Task in the competition on December 7. The top six contestants were given a “mystery basket” each to cook a main course within 60 minutes.
The winner of the “pressure task” according to Team Godrej was Khurusatolu Chuzho, Shiumai Konyak and Yuhgang Konyak first and second runners up respectively. A cash prize was also awarded to the youngest contestant Nisi Chase for showing and inspiring the younger generation to chase and live their dreams as chefs.
The contestants were scored based on their culinary skills, aesthetic and communication skills. Out of six competitors, two cooking enthusiasts were eliminated and four cooks were selected to contest for Round 6, “just desserts” under the aegis of Synergy Group Enterprises and supported by Govt. of Nagaland, Dept. of Tourism.
The top four contestants were Rokokhono Nyekha, Nisi Chase, Shuimai Phom and Khurusatolu Chuzho. The judges for the day were Sentila T Yanger, Chef Joel Basumatari, Alemjungla Jamir and Kevitsu Doze, while guest of honour for was board member, Godrej Industries & Associated Companies, Sumit Mitra.
