All India Congress Committee (AICC) president, Rahul Gandhi, has approved a eight-member coordination committee for the forthcoming assembly election in Nagaland. In a press release, AICC general secretary, Janardhan Dwivedi, listed the committee members as Dr. C.P. Joshi (general secretary incharge), K. Therie (NPCC president), Dr. K. Jayakumar (secretary incharge), Anil Thomas (AICC minority cell vice chairman), Pradyut Bordoloi (ex-minister Assam), K.L. Chishi (ex-chief minister Nagaland), I. Imkong (ex-CLP leader) and Lanpha Konyak (ex-MLA).
