ACYA 31st convention concludes

The 31st convention of ACYA under the theme, “celebrating faith, celebrating culture”, held at Mary Help of Christians, Cathedral in Kohima concluded on Sunday evening.
A press release by ACYA stated that about 2000 faithful, including nearly 700 delegates from the five Angami regions celebrated eucharistic mass with Most. Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima as the main celebrant. During the special mass, the Bishop invoked God’s blessings upon the new ACYA team of office bearers.
Later, a handing and taking over program was held where outgoing ACYA president Medoneisa Marcus handed over charge to the incoming president Zeneikho Benedict.
According to the release, a delegate remarked that the convention was a faith boosting experience. Atuonuo Ruth from Northern ACYA region, said it was “a special time of social bonding with believers from different regions”.
