Security forces under the aegis of Dao division in its relentless operations last week in South Arunachal Pradesh had eliminated two hardcore cadres, apprehended five cadres and recovered a large amount of arms, ammunition from war-like stores. According to PRO (defence), in another operation, Jairampur battalion in the early hours of February 6 launched an operation in Songking village and apprehended two hardcore NSCN (R) cadres namely Channong Matcha and Jimreves Kimsing with a pistol and ammunition. PRO informed that both the cadres have been active members of the banned outfit since 2017 and were involved in extortion activities in Miao circle in Arunachal Pradesh.
