AH&VS gets quarantine check post at Kidima

Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Dr. I.P. Khala formally inaugurated a quarantine check post (QCP) at Kidima which borders with Manipur on March 27.
According to DIPR report, Dr. I. P. Khala as chief guest said he visited the site in the year 2003 in the capacity of a veterinary surgeon. The quarantine check post would control communicable animal disease that can be spread to human being, director added. Khala asked the people for effective participation so that the department would provide medicine judiciously. Department doctor at Khuzama would take dual charge with Kidima, he said.
Additional director, Dr. Viral Yore presented brief history about establishment of quarantine check post at Kidima and appealed to the villagers to provide electricity and water for adequate maintenance and function. 
The check post was to monitor and check the disease of animal to spread while transporting from one place to the other. He also informed that land was acquired from Yore’s clan. 
Earlier invocation was pronounced by pastor, CRC Kidima, Vidise Pucho. Deputy CVO, Kohima, Dr. Joseph M. Angami chaired the programme. Secretary, Kidima Village Council, Kethozeho Kiso delivered speech on behalf of the village. Secretary, VDB, Kevizeho Rote proposed vote of thanks.
