
Various Nagaland SSA Teachers Association units, have extended their solidarity towards the NSSATA central body’s ultimatum demanding their inclusion into the 7th ROP, regular payment of salaries from non-plan budget and release of 7th ROP inclusive pending salaries.
A press release from NSSATA Kiphire unit president, Tsapicho Sangtam and general secretary, K. Alipa Sangtam lamented that while protests or agitation by teachers would severely impact the routine functioning of government schools in the state, NSSATA Kiphire appealed to its members to be ready to undertake democratic protests if authorities failed to deliver on their demands.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association has also asked the DDOs to not disburse the salaries without provision of the revised pay. The unit said that it would strictly adhere to the directives of the central team on the further course of action and has notified all members to participate.
NSSATA Zunheboto unit in a press release by president Kanato Chophi and general secretary, Hinoka Sumi stated that the unit was ever ready to cooperate to the call of the central team along with rest of the district units and would fight tooth and nail until justice was delivered to the NSSATA 2010-13 batch.
The unit has also appealed to NGOs/civil bodies and the public to extend their support towards the genuine cry of the teachers.
