Western Sumi Students’ Union held its 38th General Conference at Mughavi village under Aghunaqa Area from April 27-29. Aghunaqa Area Students’ Union hosted the conference.
According to the conference media and publicity convener, Kakiho Awomi, the speakers of the conference were Hekhushe Shikhu, president Sumi Hoho, Dr. H. Hotokhu Chishi, joint director, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Hesheto Y. Chishi, director Indigenous Cultural Society Nagaland & Research Expert UNESCO, Rev. Dr. Khehovi Shohe, director, Sumi Baptist Convention and Hukavi T. Yeputhomi, member Sumi Literature Board.
Presidents of Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Western Sumi Hoho, Western Sumi Kukami Hoho and Western Sumi Totimi Hoho exhorted the students.
Various literary and cultural competitions were also held during the course of the conference.
More than a thousand student delegates attended the conference.
