
Dimapur police has presented the reports of its activities carried out on May 10.
According to additional commissioner of police (crime)/PRO, On May 10 based on specific information regarding illegal possession of brown sugar, Dimapur Police raided the residence of one Alhing Singson, located at Signal evening bazar, Lhomithi colony and recovered 20 boxes approximately 1700 grams of brown sugar, market value Rs. 4,20,000. In this connection, the accused has been arrested and a case has been registered for further investigation.
On May 10 at around 6:30 p.m., Dimapur police apprehended two persons from Darogapathar, Dimapur, near NRL petrol pump, while extorting money from truck drivers and sand dealers.
The accused has been identified as (SO) NSCN (U), Kughato, son of Vixushe Achumi of Suruhuto town, present resident of Purana Bazar, Dimapur and Zhehuto Aye (38), son of Lhokishe Aye, of Tichipami village, PO/PS- Suruhuto, present resident of Purana Bazar, Dimapur. Few coupons of demand slip were recovered from their possession.
In this connection, a case has been registered and investigation is on.
On receiving a complaint report on May 10, regarding snatching of an auto rickshaw near DMC office, Dimapur police swung into action and recovered the auto riskshaw (NL 07F-0058) from Balijan Assam. In this connection, a case has been registered and investigation is on to nab the culprits.
