NSCN (K) through its MIP has warned impostors “engaging in rampant extortion and unauthorized taxation in and around Dimapur and Kohima claiming to have endorsement of ‘lt. gen.’ Niki Sumi and ‘col’ (trd) Isak Sumi, dy kilonser.”
In a press note, MIP identified the impostors as—“Vikuto Sumi, Noghuka alias Noka alias Alex and Kughato Chishi all former NSCN/GPRN cadres”. MIP said these persons were not to be entertained and may immediately be reported to ‘brig.’ Akaho Zhimo i/c Dimapur and Isak Sumi for Kohima or may be reported to the police of their nefarious activities for immediate arrest and detention and appropriate action be taken in order to rein in their criminal activities. While urging the parents of the impostors to take note of their ward’s criminal activities, MIP said NSCN/GPRN will not be held responsible for punitive military action.
