Old Ministers’ Hill Panchayat Kohima (OMHP) has asked individuals and offices to clear or shift their water pipes because they were blocking the drainages and waterways. In a press release, OMHP publicity and information secretary, Vizhashe Mekro has asked all the concerned parties to shift the pipes to a “higher level” at the earliest so as not obstruct the drainage in the colony. OMHP stated that the private water tapping pipes including PHE water distribution pipes were blocking the roadside drainage and waterways particularly from ‘Y’ junction road towards Science College Jotsoma opposite Ministers’ Hill Higher Secondary School.
