In response to the rejoinder, 7th Mile model village chairman Imkong Tzudir, secretary Kevi Meru and GB Asezo Nmaleo have issued a clarification.
In a statement, the village authorities said that as council members, they were bound by responsibilities to see to the welfare of the villagers.
They said that since a house within the village jurisdiction was vandalized, they were constrained to caution all to restrain from taking the law into one’s hand. The signatories said that the present case, between the appellants and the respondent, was subjudice with the GPRN, of which the affected parties have been assured of review at the earliest.
As the review is awaited, the village has appealed to all parties to restrain from creating unwanted situation by taking matters into their own hands.
