
Immanuel College Dimapur (ICD) organized a one-day spiritual awakening crusade under the theme “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God” on June 30 at the college.
A press release by ICD media cell convener, Akutu Poireng stated that speaker for the crusade was missionary Imcha Jamir. The speaker in his message stated that “we are all God’s perfect creation” and so should live life with His blessings. He reminded the congregation about God’s divine purpose in each of his creation. He also asked the congregation to take absolute care of not only one’s soul but physical body as well, for it is the Temple of God where he dwelt and use it according to His will.
The first session began with praise and worship led by Bethel Youth Ministry worship team. The chairperson for the session was Temjen LKR assistant professor of Education. Invocation was given by Sophia Besa assistant professor of History. G. Jianchuilung EU president, Immanuel College read from the Bible. Introduction & welcome address was delivered by Dr. A. Loss Chalai, chairman Governing Body, Immanuel College. Special song was presented by Imjungla Imchen assistant professor of History and a short testimony by Vilika BA 3rd Sem.
During the afternoon session, the speaker emphasised on the individual self, wherein he stressed on the willingness of an individual to change, to be without any reservation, to be submissive to Jesus and to let Him take control of “our” life.
The second session was chaired by Temjenkala Yaden, assistant professor of English, invocation by Vepu assistant professor of Botany, Bible reading by Wadongnola, B.Sc 3rd semester and special song was presented by Immanuel College hostellers. The session was followed by worship hour led by the speaker and the Bethel Youth Ministry worship team. In the crusade many students dedicated their lives to Jesus, received deliverance and were spiritually and physically healed.
