To celebrate football and take part in the World Cup fever, East Dimapur Sümi Youth Organization (EDSYO) organized a screening (in HD) during the first semi final match between France vs Belgium, at Mandeville garden, Purana bazaar, Dimapur Tuesday. Before the event began a host of games were initiated to keep the football aficionados who were impatiently waiting for the match engaged in recreational activities.
The screening of the match replicated the spirit and ambience of an actual football stadium as fans of opposing teams were cheering as loud for their team as possible.
Food stalls serving varieties of delicacies were also set up allowing local youths to generate income all the while sharing the great passion and love for football.
Regardless of social backgrounds football fans at the event were seen thoroughly enjoying together interacting, having fun and watching the game together.
The cinematic experience allowed the fans to enjoy the match by making them feel like they are right there on the St. Petersburg stadium which is the venue for the first semi-final.
EDSYO will also be screening the remaining World cup matches.
In the run up to the final match on July 15, there will be a mini concert featuring various local artistes.
